Found objects, cast bronze
11” x 19”

This is the first in a subset of Last Rockets that are temporary arrangements of objects and materials. A bare toilet paper tube serves as the main fuselage, a rubber gasket stands in for the capsule, and a broken radiator steam valve sits in place of the engine. Bronze bird bones, cast using the luted crucible method—an ancient technique dating back to the bronze age—imply wings.
