For this No Fishing Sign, an underpainted ground of purple-ish indigo is layered with brackets of sky blues and teals. Strapping tape lines the outer edge of the cardboard panel. The prohibition,“NO FISHING,” written in marker and appearing towards the top of this vertical composition, is struck through with black paint. Washy blue bands tinted in white obscure the lower center of the painting and cover the repeated message, “NO FISHING.”
